Do you want to be taken more seriously when negotiating for what you want? Without communication, there is no negotiation. Unfortunately, most conversations are like two TV's facing one another. Based on "Getting to Yes," this workshop will equip you with practical tools that will enable you to get to a resolution and dramatically increase your chances of achieving your negotiation goals. It's common sense, which continues to be amazingly uncommon. Come discover how you get in your own way, and you'll leave with negotiation skills that you can apply immediately!

No matter what your desires, it will require you to make money and budget it for the lifestyle you choose. We will play a fun and interactive game for you to practice just that. Pick a career, a house, a location, a car and a lifestyle and learn how to balance your income with the living expenses that come with it. Join us to get a taste of reality in this exciting game about life.

Stereotypes & Snap Judgments: When to Rein Them In, When to Let Them Rule

If 87% of all sound bites from ‘experts’ are men, and 92% of those men are white, how does that impact our worldview? Close your eyes and take this pop quiz: What does a female banker look like? A woman CEO? A girl at your school in AP calculus? A biotech scientist shopping at the mall? Did that last one throw you? In a quick snap we’ve pre-set our brains to media myths and formulas, pre-judging with pop culture images and icons. You’re about to flip those perceptions and realities upside down in fun, hands-on games that will give you skill sets for life and tell you a lot about yourself in the process. How are you swayed by the power of stereotypes? When can you “trust your gut?” We’ll peel away our masks to reveal the crucial difference between stereotypes stemming from external media, and snap judgments derived from internal instincts. It’s a huge distinction that will help you build awareness, make authentic choices and trust your “blink” from school cliques and career paths to life partners and beyond.
