Come to this fabulous workshop to find out about all of these things.  You will learn about how the stock market works and many other ways to invest your money to make it grow faster. Whether you are chatting with a friend, talking with a parent, or speaking with a teacher, everyone needs to understand how to communicate their personal opinions. This workshop will provide the perfect opportunity for young women to learn how to speak their mind and stand up for their beliefs. You will learn strategies for resolving conflicts without simply saying “you’re sorry,” but rather making your position and feelings known. In addition, the skills you will acquire in this workshop will allow you to communicate your ideas in a leadership position. The goal is for participants to leave with an understanding of how to express their true feelings for the first time!

Negotiation Skills: Get out of Your Own Way!

Do you find it hard to get what you want? Do discussions with your parents over

driving, dating and curfews end in arguments rather than solutions? Do you want to be taken more seriously when negotiating for what you want? Without communication, there is no negotiation. Unfortunately, most conversations are like two TV's facing one another. Based on "Getting to Yes," this workshop will equip you with practical tools that will enable you to get to a resolution and dramatically increase your chances of achieving your negotiation goals. It's common sense, which continues to be amazingly uncommon. Come discover how you get in your own way, and you'll leave with negotiation skills that you can apply immediately!

Play the Real Game of Life

How do you want to live after college? Do you want the “American Dream” of a nice house, 2 cars and 2.2 kids? Or something a bit more exotic? No matter what your desires, it will require you to make money and budget it for the lifestyle you choose. We will play a fun and interactive game for you to practice just that. Pick a career, a house, a location, a car and a lifestyle and learn how to balance your income with the living expenses that come with it. Join us to get a taste of reality in this exciting game about life.

Using Plastic Powerfully

What is it about credit cards that seem so dangerous and so exciting at the same time? Join us in this powerful session to learn about the world of credit cards. We will discuss how credit cards work, how to get one, how to avoid the dangers and scams, and how to use them while staying out of debt and managing your money. We will define the strange terms we always hear: interest rates, minimum payments, credit history, identity theft and credit agency. And you will have an opportunity to see a credit report and learn how your use of credit cards is tracked.

Victory Over Procrastination!

Do you find yourself doing everything at the last minute and doing less than perfect work because of it? Join us in this time management workshop and learn how to get the motivation to stop procrastinating and get things done, with time to spare. You’ll learn how to figure out how much time to spend on each aspect of your life, and strategies to get the most done in the least amount of time. Imagine your life without the stress of poor time management – it’s possible to achieve!

You’re Hired! How to Get a Job

Do you want more of your own money? Then get a job! Join us in this exciting workshop to learn how to find the perfect job for you and master the skills that will help you get hired. The processes in finding a job will be discussed, with emphasis on understanding how to fill out a job application and make a resume that appeals to prospective employers. Overcome the intimidating interview by learning how to make a lasting, positive impression.

Making Decisions for your Life

Don’t know what workshops to take? Find it difficult to make decisions in your life? Join us to learn strategies for making better decisions in your life through knowledge, emotions and facts.
